“This internship taught me that that making mistakes is a great way to learn. One of the things I would redo is making more mistakes. In the first few weeks, I tried so hard not to make mistakes, which hindered my growth a little, since not everything needs to be perfect. I also learned that there are no stupid questions; if you are confused about anything, just ask. The team is always ready to help. I got to learn 3 new skills: 2 technical ones (Golang and Bash scripting) and one that's more about getting out of my bubble and talking to more people on my team.”

“ERP into CORE is wonderful and I think it should be the standard for large companies like Comcast & anybody who is interested in moving through a company in a leadership position or wants to touch multiple areas should 100% join it. Being able to meet with so many different people at the company coupled with the intern project has been instrumental to my growth. By understanding what different people do, I do can get a better picture of how Comcast works compared to potentially being silo'd into a role for years until I reach a management position. I was worried about the "accounting" I would have to do in this rotation but quickly I realized not only was this necessary for my technical expertise, but with it only being a temporary experience I realized that CORE would allow me to build skills without being married to a role.”

“I think the most valuable skill I learned was how to analyze company & industry data in a way that goes beyond just the numbers. I learned about how each of my findings interacted with and influenced areas of the business, how trends impacted our projections, and how consumer behavior and perceptions of a company influence its performance. It was really interesting and engaging to take all of the insights and data I gathered over the course of the summer and transform that into a story. I'd definitely say that my biggest take-away from this internship was that it strengthened my ability to connect data, market activity, and business strategy and gave me a stronger perspective on how organizations make decisions and plan for the future in highly competitive environments.”

“The most valuable takeaway for me has been the cohort. The ERP program brings together people from a wide array of backgrounds and I made genuine friendships this summer that I know will continue well after the internship ends. Beyond that, the program management team really impressed me, especially with how smooth orientation was and the constant check-ins throughout the summer. The CORE mentors were always great to talk to and my mentor in particular helped me feel supported and grounded throughout the entire experience. The overall structure of the program is well thought out. Finally, getting to work on high-impact projects with a lot less red tape than I expected was huge for my growth. The engineering culture here is exactly what I was looking for.”

“Not only has this been an absolutely transformative experience for me professionally, but I feel that I've grown greatly as an individual. From collaborating with my ERP Capstone team, to participating as a panelist at an event for young technologists and shadowing engineering teams, the experiences I've had here allowed me to develop skills both technically and interpersonally. I have learned the importance of taking initiative in my own learning and progression, and the brilliant people that I've crossed paths with have certainly inspired in more ways than one. I'm grateful to have formed what I know are lifelong bonds and friendships with several of the interns whose company has been a highlight of my summer as we explored and went on many adventures together in such a short time span. What's made the most impact on my professional growth is the access to new perspectives and insights from anyone that I reached out to and this culture of accessibility and openness in that way is something that I value and will pay forward in the future. I recognize this ERP internship is a turning point in my life and I'm forever grateful for this opportunity. Thank you for everything!”
